LIST and VITO join forces to boost innovation across borders

A new partnership between the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology and VITO, a Belgian research institute in remote sensing and environmental innovation, unlocks new joint projects, shared infrastructure, and faster innovation across borders.

LIST and VITO have taken a major step in cross-border collaboration, signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the Flemish Space Mission in Luxembourg. This partnership aims to accelerate joint research and innovation, creating new opportunities for science and technology across Europe.

The MoU sets the stage for shared research and development in space and Earth observation, sustainable materials, energy resilience, and security and defence applications. By aligning innovation roadmaps, enabling joint projects, facilitating researcher exchanges, and granting access to complementary pilot infrastructures, the partnership promises faster, more impactful results.

Supported by Flanders Investment & Trade, this collaboration strengthens a connected and resilient European innovation ecosystem, transforming cooperation into tangible scientific progress.
